Design Crush: Colleen Locke

It's been awhile since I did a Design Crush feature, but I can't resist sharing Colleen Locke's reno that I recently saw in Domino.

Colleen is the former owner of a Cape Cod style home on six acres in Ohio and a spruced up barn, as featured in Lonny March/April 2011. She really has a talent for mixing vintage with modern and rustic with elegant. Love the huge chandelier with the exposed beams in the barn!

And how about this office space? Black laquer over pine paneling- what a bold and brilliant way to cover old paneling! It's similar to the "Kona" color that we used in our kitchen to cover the oak wainscoting.  Note how Colleen also used the Cole and Sons Woods wallpaper too!

Speaking of wallpaper, I adore this pink powder room. I would never have dreamed that the gold mirror and damask wallpaper would go with a black cabinet, but it works!

Annnnd more wallpaper. This time paisley paper on the ceiling--pure genius. Colleen managed to fit a ton of furniture into this seating area, which is perfect for entertaining.

A few more spaces from Colleen's new Nashville digs...

Colleen is now in company with other design crush features India HicksRyan KorbanDiane Bergeron, and Lizzie Carney.
